Larry Grinwis – President

“I really like the RLP model for language learning-it results in greater cross-cultural understanding as well. I’m excited about our goal to increase the number of locations where the RLP program is offered, and therefore the number of participants who can participate, in the next year.”
Larry Lynn – Treasurer

“The Reciprocal Language Partnership auction in 2005 introduced me to this unique teaching and learning program. This concept is a great way to increase the understanding and integration of our different cultures. Over the last three years my involvement in the annual auction event has been gratifying. My recent addition to the board allows me to participate more fully in promoting the brotherhood of man.”
Amy Devanney – Board Member

“As the founder of the Reciprocal Language Partnership (RLP), I want to continue to serve the program as a board member by helping to secure its roots and to help it grow. I believe that the more people who participate in the Reciprocal Language Partnership, the better our community will be. Through language teaching and learning, the RLP creates understanding between language groups and unites us. Participants realize that we have more in common with one another than we do differences. When the hearts and minds of individuals become more open, inclusive, and welcoming, then one by one, open, inclusive, and welcoming attitudes spread, and soon, that is what our whole community will become.”
Linda Falstad – Board Member
Linda Falstad has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit and government sectors as a grant researcher, writer and as a volunteer manager. Ms. Falstad is experienced in the start-up of both programs and non-profit organizations. As a former elected official, Falstad has the knowledge and networking experience necessary to connect organizations to resources.
“I joined the board of RLP because I believe in the value of exchanging culture and language, building bridges to peace and understanding in our global society. Our family has hosted exchange students for many years and has enjoyed the sharing of food, culture, language and laughs.”
Dave Van Doorne – Board Member

“Being new to the Holland area afforded me a fresh opportunity to choose an organization or two to become involved with in order to become more familiar with my new home and also to “give back to the community”. I have learned during my search that Holland is a community rich with tradition and yet growing in cultural diversity. The Reciprocal Language Program provides such a beautiful avenue for community members to share their native language, their culture, and their insights. What a gift to the Holland area, and potentially many other communities! I wanted to be part of that.”
