We have a testimony for the day-long training we offered to prepare our class in Sheldon, Iowa (that will take place this fall). They said:

“We are excited about organizing RLP in Iowa! During our training in Holland, we enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a real RLP class. To sit across from classmates who were excited about teaching us basic Spanish and then to have the opportunity to share basic English with them was a great experience!”

Claire Goodman:
I signed up for the RLP program because I was looking for an opportunity to improve my Spanish skills, but as I practiced my Spanish I also gained a friend! In class my partner and I reviewed Spanish grammar rules and after class I ate posole with her and her family. In class we practiced English pronunciation and after class she came over to my house and played Pictionary. Now that the 12 weeks of class are over, my partner and I plan to continue to meet on Thursday evenings to enjoy each other’s company and to keep developing our second language skills.

Rosalinda Cortez:
Reciprocal Language Partnership has helped me work on my English. This will help me support my family because I can find a better job, have better earnings, and also feel more part of the community through the friendships I made in class.
